PLANT MANAGER

Location: Auburndale, FL

The Plant Manager supervises and oversees the entire operation of the location's Manufacturing, Distribution, Quality, Maintenance and Human Resources to ensure maximum productivity, safety, cost, efficiency and quality to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting and Budgeting: Collect, compile, maintain, and distribute operational reports as required. Manage annual operations budgeting to ensure improvements in operations, facility maintenance, distribution, environmental abatement programs, and the safety and well-being of all employees.
  • Project Planning: Plan and organize budgets, methods, and projects for plant development to achieve and maintain a first-rate facility.
  • Team Management: Review and delegate assignments to each Department Manager as necessary to ensure a safe work environment and maximum performance from their respective departments.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze production and distribution performance and notify Department Managers of any areas needing attention. Analyze and monitor operational expenditures to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Coordination: Report all daily operational activities to the Director of Extrusion and implement recommended operational improvements, delegating tasks to respective Department Managers as required. Coordinate with other departments to resolve any issues or concerns, and liaise with local city, county, or state agencies regarding environmental issues, permitting, or other miscellaneous topics.

Technical Expertise:

  • Manufacturing Operations: Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, especially PVC extrusion and related technologies.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Safety and Compliance: Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental standards specific to the PVC industry.

Leadership Skills:

  • Team Management: Proven ability to lead and motivate a large team, ensuring high performance and morale.
  • Decision-Making: Strong decision-making skills, especially under pressure.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.

Industry-Specific Knowledge:

  • PVC Properties: Understanding of PVC materials, their properties, and applications.
  • Quality Control: Experience with quality systems and ensuring product standards are met.
  • Logistics and Distribution: Knowledge of distribution and logistics to manage supply chain efficiently.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Budget Management: Ability to plan and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Project Management: Experience in Capital planning and executing Capital projects, including facility upgrades and new installations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing processes.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with employees, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Training and Development: Knowledge of motivation and training techniques to develop the skills of the workforce.

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5-7 Years of Manufacturing Experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP programs for managing operations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively and efficiently.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality production and compliance with standards.
  • Ability to converse effectively in Spanish or other relevant languages is an advantage.
  • Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent, preferred specialty in Business, Engineering Industrial Technology, or other related fields.

FACTORY WORKER

Duties: Various Production Line Jobs

Location: Aurora, Ohio Plant

Hours: Varies - Our plant runs around the clock – 12 hour shifts with an average of 42 hours per week (3 days on and 4 days off/4 days on and 3 days off).

Job starts at $20/hour

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform manual labor tasks for manufacturing job at the CANTEX, Aurora, Ohio plant.
  • Ability to learn to use measuring tools
  • Willing to work in semi-controlled temperature environment
  • Willing to work night shift if needed
  • Ability to speak and understand English
  • Will follow all safety and work rules
  • Able to pass drug screen and physical after job offer
  • Willing to follow instructions from supervisors
  • Has a good work ethic and gets along with fellow workers
